Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King Reiterates His Definitive Retirement from Boxing
The renowned boxer Tyson Fury has stated that he would not reconsider his retirement from boxing, even in the face of an offer of one billion pounds sterling (approximately 1.3 billion dollars). Fury, who has been absent from the ring for almost a year since losing in a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, announced his retirement in January. However, this is not the boxer’s first retirement, as he has returned in the past for big fights. Why do I want to return to boxing?”, the boxer questioned. Fury argued that he no longer needs the money or the titles, as he has accumulated a considerable fortune and possesses numerous belts. “It doesn’t make me happier. Was the chase better than the victory? Yes. The climb was better than the top of the mountain,” he added. The British boxer, known for his charisma and skills in the ring, conquered the IBF, WBA, and WBO titles by defeating Wladimir Klitschko. After overcoming mental health problems, he returned successfully, starring in an epic draw with Deontay Wilder and defeating him in a rematch to obtain the WBC belt, which he successfully defended in a trilogy. Fury also achieved victories against British contenders Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte. However, his undefeated career came to an end last year when he was surpassed by Usyk, who became the undisputed heavyweight champion.There is no real reason for me to return to a boxing ring.
